Let me try to explain my potential change request to the current ESS system, first some context:
I have a dynamic energy contract, so today (nice sunny day) electricity is nearly for free.
As such, my MP’s are charging my Pylontech battery set, while also trying to charge my EV. (with a slow Phase 1 charger)
The default setting for the ESS- grid setpoint to ~ 50w so not charging my batteries for the evening (expensive) hours as it fully directs all solar power to the AC loads.
However, for today I had to change the ESS- grid setpoint to 4000 so I also could charge (for free) my EV and still charging my batteries with the solarpanels.
So, it would be great if the ESS- grid setup could be automaticly set to unlimited during the time the energy is near zero. (the threshold value to be defined by the user). I think this will greatly benefit net stability as well.
