I am planning an installation of a pair of Quattro 48/10000 configured for 120V/240V single-phase with each leg of the utility connected to one of the Quattro’s AC inputs. Depending on the exact location of the utility transfomer and its impedance, the available fault current at the Quattro inputs will be 14-19 kA. What is the max SCCR on these inputs without any upstream protection? Is there a series rating for these same inputs with Class J, R or T fuses?
I haven’t seen any Victron documentation that publishes an SCCR for the Quattro AC inputs or a series rating with Class J/R/T fuses. The datasheet for the 230v does show an ICw of 10 kA at 30ms, but that is not an SCCR. But in all likelihood it would not withstand something that high looking at the ICw rating.
Is it on the UL listing file? you could possibly determine whether the unit can be applied on a system with 14–19 kA available fault current.
