False SOC wrong side of shunt

Hi
I’ve recently installed a carbo /and shunt + connected to the VRM network all great, I have just realised I left the existing solar supply connected directly to the house battery so the wrong side off the shunt, this may explain why the solar charge is included in the total consumption box in the vrm screen, the total load should only be 8 watts ( modem and carbo ) but whatever the solar’s producing is added to that figure in the consumption box also will this give me a false SOC,

Yes, this will give you a false SOC, the shunt will not see the charge current so it will keep reducing till it days 0%.I

Absolutely all negatives must be connected to the system side of the shunt, nothing to the battery apart from the battery side of the shunt.

Thank you for the reply makes sense.
Is it normal procedure to add the solar charge to the total consumption or is that still part of my mistake.

Sorry just realised the mppt is connected via a cable to the carbo will it still not see the charge.

The GX will report that there has been production on the mppt, but it will not be added to the state of charge of the battery as it is not passing over the shunt which reports its own activity.

Many thanks.
