Hello
I have just installed a 100 amp 36 volt lithium battery to power my MinnKota electric motor on my boat.
Until then I used 3 12 volt batteries and I controlled the charge and discharge parameters on my Victron BMV700 monitor
Since this new battery is in place it is impossible for me to get a reading on my monitor, it does not work.
I checked my connections, my monitor, I tried another shunt without obtaining any results.
Thank you for your help
Have you used a volt meter on the battery? Some of the newer smart lithium batteries need to be “activated” to get them out of shelf mode. The Renogy batteries have a button that needs to be held down, for example.
Thanks
Indeed I have to activate the battery via the battery’s Bluetooth application to obtain the voltage with my voltmeter but even in this situation the BMV does not work
I also tried a new shunt without result, I think that the BMS is responsible for the problem and cuts the power to the shunt
I’m experiencing the same issue. Voltage to the shunt pcboard is good, but nothing on the display. I’ve tried a new display module but it made no difference. There really is no way the BMS could “cut the power to the shunt” without shuting down the entire battery.
It has been 5 months since you posted. What was your final resolution?
Le problème venait du câble et pas du BMV700 , en mettant le câble d’origine victron tout est rentré dans l’ordre.
