Extend Smart Shunt VE.Direct cord to reach Cerbo

The Smart Shunt IP65 has a VE.Direct cord, but it does not reach the location of my Cerbo. What cable extension fits the male and female fittings in this case?

Just use the normal VE.direct cable. That should also be mentioned in the manual.

Thanks for your reply, Matthias. But the question in my mind hinges on the Smart Shunt IP65 having its own VE.Direct cable, unable to be unplugged from the shunt. It ends in a “plug”, not a “socket”. As I understand it, the standard VE.Direct cable has a similar “plug” on each end. The Cerbo has only “socket” connections, which if the Shunt were nearby, the shunt would plug into.

You mean a ‘pure extension’ like this :

Like that on one end. The photo shows 'PLUGS" on both ends of the cable. The Smart Shunt IP65 already has a “PLUG” just like that, and needs to go into a “SOCKET”. (Not being an electrician, I get confused, ) but I think electricians call the “PLUG” a “Female” end, and the “SOCKET” a “Male” connector. What you show has two identical “Female” plugs.

The one in the picture ‘looks like’ a socket … but it (could) will probably be a plug again …
These VE _ Direct connectors are very often built in-house … let’s see if there isn’t really something there …

My apologies to all. I was completely mistaken. The cord coming out of the IP65 Smart Shunt absolutely does end in a “SOCKET”. I just went out to where my motorhome is parked to double check, and there it is. I cannot tell you how many times I looked at that, and still believed I was seeing a “plug” rather than a “socket”. Wow ~~~ do I feel foolish! The standard VE.Direct cable is all I need.

Perfect … lets go … extend it …

The manual also shows/says what you need:
