EVCS NS Overload Protection Constantly Cutting Off Charging

@Lpopescu

Hello,

We are UK based and recently added an EVCS NS into our 2 x 48/5000 MP2 (in parallel), Cerbo GX, Lynx Distributor + 4x US5000 Pylontech batteries grid tied system.

The EVCS is connected on the AC in side of the MP2s.

We are with Octopus Energy and during an hour of free electricity we have been given, I’ve tried to both charge our Pylontech house batteries and our EV at the same time.

The house batteries are charging fine at the full output of the MP2s at around 140A, however, as soon as I plug our EV into the EVCS and try and start to charge (in manual mode), I keep getting an overload protection warning message and the EVCS stops charging. I don’t seem to be able to charge our EV & house batteries at the same time.

In the charger settings, it’s location is set to AC in.

In VRM, the input current limit for the MP2s is set to 100A.

For a few months until today, we have been using the EVCS in its auto mode, just topping our EV up during the afternoons from excess solar. It’s been working perfectly in this mode.

Can you kindly help please?

Thanks

Jim

Hi, you can disable the overload protection
