EVCS Calibration Procedure / Issue with 2021 Stellantis Platform

Hello

I just wondered if there is anyone on here @Lpopescu (?) that can shed some light on how the CPcalibration procedure is exactly implemented.

Especially if there is a possibility that the calibration would be counterproductive because it takes place when the car is in a state the EVCS is not expecting (eg. power down/deep sleep state) or because there is EMI during the calibration that sets the calibration at the wrong point (the latter would not surprise me as my oscilloscope measurements show quite a large amount of noise on the CP line).

The calibration menu only asks if the cable is connected to the car. Is this enough or does the car need to be in a “ready” state of some sort?

Is there a way to manually (re-)calibrate the EVCS to a “sound base” calibration by attaching a DC source to the CP pin during calibraton?

The issue I have is that my car, a 2021 Stellantis platform Citroen eC4 does charge in three phase operation as expected but not in single phase (showing either “charged” even though its not full or its in charging mode but there is no power drawn by the car).

I am an power electronics R&D engineer myself and have measurement equipment (e.g. Oscilloscope) to support the debugging process…

As a sidenote: using a Juice booster at the same CEE16 outlet single and theephase charging both work as intended.

Hi, CP calibration should be performed once. It is just forcing the EVCS measurements to the expected value - 9 volts on that line when the car is connected and not charging.
If there are issues, I would check the ground connection. If that in not perfect, all the measurements on both EV and EVCS are made relative to that ground.
