Hi all, new to the community but do have some experience with victron for the marine world.
I’m looking to install an ESS with 2x Multiplus-ii 48/3000. Due to space, these would be paralleled and grid tied in my garage with an energy meter at my consumer unit.
I have read into the forums discussing the link to intelligent octopus go, which appears to be a workable setup.
I have an Ohme EV charger which would switch on and off at Octopus’ will through the day as well as the cheap window overnight.
How do I stop the EV charger draining my ESS during the day on the cheap rate? My thoughts are either to sync the ESS to start charging on the same threshold as my EV charger, from what I can tell there are no rules to this other than at octopus’ choosing. Or use an energy meter on the EV charger and some how set it so ESS ignores the EV charger consumption.
Keen for any experience or ideas
