ESS with 1 х MultiPlus 230V + MPPT + 3 х MultiPlus 400V like charger

Hi! I have ESS with next components:

  • MultiPlus-II 48/6k5/100-50 230V – like main inverter with ESS, works in inverter mode only
  • SmartSolar Charger MPPT 250/60
  • MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 x 3 pcs 400V – works like powerful charger, works on charger mode only
  • Cerbo GX – main inverter MultiPlus-II 48/6k5/100-50 230V connected by VE.Bus to GX and MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 x 3 pcs 400V connected together by VE.Bus and through cable MK3 to USB to GX.

How can I use MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 x 3 pcs 400V with charger schedule? Because I need to charge battery between 23 pm … 6 am?
Tnx!

How have you been managing it before?

Do you have the second system connected to the GX with an mk3 or on a separate GX?

Oh, yes, GX… main inverter MultiPlus-II 48/6k5/100-50 230V connected by VE.Bus and MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 x 3 pcs 400V connected together by VE.Bus and through cable MK3 to USB to Cerbo GX. So, all inverters in GX. Please, see the screenshot.

What are you expecting from this setup? Which of those expectations does it not fulfill?

I would use node red to schedule the charge window. Siwtch them between the software switch off state and the charger state

I have some special load with have negative reaction when inverter switched from grid to battery and back. When I have 400V charger and 51,2V 400Ah battery with inverter 6k5 with works like inverter 24/7 my load works pretty well. But I want also use 400V charger with schedule, because night electricity cost is chipper.

Ok, so why not setup the three phase system as the ESS, then you can use the charge shedules on that, while the 6k5 is connected as an extra system over the Mk3?

Since

That ESS has no benefit if the 6k5 has never mains/grid input

Thanks for your answer, but I didn’t have any experience with this tool for now.

Because I have load 230V and sometimes it need’s ≤ 5,5-6,0kW and 6k5 good option for this + I have also MPPT 250/60.

But that has nothing to do with ESS on the 6k5. A MultPlus works fine as long as it has DC battery power, it doesnt even need a GX to work.

Setup ESS on your three phase system, connect that to the GXs own VE.bus and setup charge shedules.

The 6k5 can then work completely independently. If you want you can hook it up over the Mk3 as a secondary system, so you can see basic measurments of it and make use of DVCC
