Hi,
I’ve posted this topic in Dutch already, but I wanted to share it in English as well so non-Dutch speakers can also help me with their knowledge and experience.
I live in Belgium and have developed an idea for a DIY energy storage system to make better use of my solar energy. I currently have a Huawei 10kW inverter, but the official batteries for it are extremely expensive. That’s why I started looking for alternatives and I’m planning to build the system myself.
Although my knowledge in this domain is limited, I’m quite handy and have already done many electrical installations at home – all of which were inspected and approved without any issues. Of course, I will only put this new system into operation after it’s been inspected and approved by a certified professional.
I’ve added a schematic diagram of the setup (most components already exist and are in use):
EV charger + Victron setup + batteries
Everything in the diagram has already been installed and approved except:
-
The additional distribution board I want to install in the garage – including the connection between the main differential switch and the circuit breaker in the garage board (this is the part I’m unsure about).
-
The Victron inverters and the ESS battery system that will be placed in the garage (about 10 meters from the main distribution board).
-
The EV charger, which will be connected soon.
My questions
Is this plan technically feasible?
Do you see any mistakes or things I should change or improve?
Any feedback is more than welcome.
Thanks
