ESS Dynamic mode - EDF Tempo tariff time shift issue after daylight saving time change

Hi everyone,

I have an issue on two installations configured with ESS in dynamic mode, both using the EDF Tempo tariff system in France.

The normal off-peak and peak hours are:

  • Off-peak: 22:00 - 06:00
  • Peak: 06:00 - 22:00

Both systems use:

  • Device: Cerbo GX MK2
  • Firmware version: v3.54

The first installation, « Famille Blettner », is working correctly — the switching times between peak and off-peak hours follow the EDF Tempo schedule even after the recent daylight saving time change.

However, the second installation, « Les Mugues », has a time shift issue:

  • Before the DST change: the switching was already off by 1 hour
  • After the DST change: it’s now off by 2 hours

Both systems are configured identically, so I’m struggling to understand why one behaves correctly and the other doesn’t.

Has anyone experienced this issue with ESS dynamic mode and EDF Tempo tariffs? Any ideas on what might be causing this time shift or how I can fix it?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi everyone,

We actually found the solution to our own issue. There was a known bug a few months ago in the DESS system that could cause this kind of time shift.

To fix it, you need to go to the geolocation settings of the installation and slightly move the location pin — just a few centimeters or meters is enough. This will force the system to reload the time zone settings correctly.

After doing that, the switching times aligned properly with the EDF Tempo schedule again.

Hope this helps anyone facing the same issue!
