MasterCATZ, can you please advise how you bypass the Victron and export battery power?
I was watching a video that some use the RS MPPT’s to do this, but they did not give any details, I can picture this working for PV but not battery

I was talking about my PV inverters , they just output power when connected to grid and I use "Home Assistant " for controlling them as they are connected to smart switches
it looks like the Victron will export the battery when its above its SOC , so if set to 90% Minimum and battery is 100% it will export the battery to grid , in your case I guess 10% Minimum
currently I am using 2015 grid settings / 2020 refuses to keep connected to grid while I have PV inverters running
currently my only issue is not being able to manually tell the victron what the 100% SOC Voltage is but at least its moved 48v to 96% SOC so I can finally control it 56v should be its 100% but oh well
grid set point needs to be a negative number
node red control can be done with this
but pretty sure yours will work if dropped back to 2015
I just change 2015 settings to be within 2020 grid voltage range
as 2015 is 265v and 2020 is 255v
a password is needed https://gprivate.com/6hdue
(its buggy unsure why its results are random now )
wish some error code would be created to tell why 2020 grid settings keeps disconnecting
as their is no voltage or hz changes
however AI just told me
DRM, when enabled, restricts the MultiPlus to only connect to the grid when a specific resistor (5k-16kΩ) is wired to AUX 1,
I will look into that now
yet DRM is disabled on both 2015 and 2020 so still confused
I’ll hunt down a resistor today and see if that changes looks like I have 6k and 10k here
Thank you so much for this, I will give this a try now, since I need to redo this after firmware update to 556
Yeah mine has been doing the same with the grid drops, about 30mins to and hour at the worst times, annoying because I have my hot water on Non Essential, and then it doesn’t fully heat.
Also I received the following information from an Australian Victron dealer.
CEC Approval Details.
Effectively, the Current MP-II 3 k -AU and 5 k -AU units, although listed, can be used only in these systems:
• Grid non-back feeding ESS systems.
• Grid-backup systems.
• Off-grid systems.
I can’t thank you enough @MasterCATZ everything is now working with 2015 I did not even need a resistor, it appears that this grid code does not request it as a tick box as shown below
Now everything that I had created in MQTT is just working exactly as I expected now, I can’t believe it was this easy in the end.
My PV is not dropping like before either on Grid mode and the ESS now all works as it should do
yeh resistor did jack wasted another hr trying to get 2020 working today
my version does not even have that Aux1 checkbox ,
ok so it looks like they never got their approval for 2020 grid exporting
my guess its because they can not control the export limit , it keeps over shooting the limits that are set and we are not allowed to go over 5kw
Switching between inverter and grid doesn’t drop my PV any more, my variable hot water heater now works as it should, follows the PV output. And the best part if I want I can use the negative setpoint to heat the hot water as an override if required.
I believe that check box is only there if the Grid code requests this as settings.
Yeah I just did a quick test and could export all the PV and Battery could set it to 7kW or above if I wanted to. I have this limited in MQTT to 5kW.
