I am fitting a dc to.dc 30 amp battery charger on my motorhome engine battery because have changed my leasure batteries ti lifep04 lithium when im stationary my system charges with solar or 240 v battery charger both set up for lithium .will my engine battery still charge when engine not running as power to the battery is the same cable i fit the dc charger to
The Victron Orion DC to DC charger only charges one way, from the engine battery to the leisure battery. When the leisure battery is charged from 240V or solar the DC to DC will not charge the engine battery. You can add a trickle charger to do this such as those linked below (UK). Or you can connect your 240V and solar chargers to the engine battery then the DC to DC will always charge the leisure batteries. But this will be less efficient and limited to 30A.
