Easysolar not starting

Dear Victron Community,

I am requesting assistance with an EasySolar-II GX 24/3000/70-32 that is no longer starting correctly.

Product information:

- Model: EasySolar-II GX 24/3000/70-32

- Serial Number: HQ2118WDKHX|

- Battery system: 24V lead-acid bank (4 × 12V 150Ah configured as 2S2P)

Current symptoms:

- Inverter does not start.

- No relay click is heard during startup.

- AC output remains 0V.

- Output frequency is not displayed.

- VE.Bus Monitor reports “L1 not in phase”.

- GX display remains operational.

- Battery voltage is approximately 25.3V.

Diagnostics performed:

- AC input disconnected.

- AC output disconnected.

- Generator disconnected.

- AC-coupled PV inverter disconnected.

- Full power reset performed.

- Assistants removed for testing.

- MK3-USB communication verified.

- VEConfigure successfully connects and reads model, serial number, and settings.

- VE.Bus Monitor shows:

  • Udc = 25.3V

  • UOut = 0V

  • Freq Out = —

  • L1 not in phase

- Firmware check reports system is up to date.

Additional observation:

VictronConnect displays the message:

“VE.Bus Error 11 reporting requires minimum VE.Bus firmware version 454.”

Questions:

1. Does this indicate a known firmware or configuration issue?

2. Is there a way to determine the actual VE.Bus error code?

3. Could these symptoms indicate a relay test failure, synchronization fault, or internal hardware fault?

4. Are there additional diagnostic procedures recommended before the unit is sent for service?

I have attached screenshots from VEConfigure, VE.Bus Monitor, and VictronConnect.

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards,

Harijs

@Harr the imaged did not attach.

Check 1.
Neutral and line are th corect way around. And there is not voltage between ground and neutral.

What version exactly is there? The other message makes it seem like it isn’t up to date

Reset to factory defaults and reprogram. If the wiring check turn up nothing.

VE.Bus Monitor reports “L1 not in phase”.
If this is second hand it was probably part of a system. The rest should clear it.

Just guessing as i am flying blind without your acreenshots

Thank you for quick reply!

You mean rest to factory settings using usb stick

My system works buy years correctly

Nobody no change or touch anything

Only thing is last month my batteries coming weeker

On morning I have message Alarm week battery

But when I start generator all things come on normal

Just a few days back inverter not come on

System still charging batteries

Only Hub1 off inverter off

An inverter cannot start properly all the time with weak batteries.

The firmware is very out of date.

Update the inverter with Victron connect (probably around version 555). Reprogramming it afterwards.

Update the GX ( to version 3.71 or3.72) using the firmware update option.

Many thanks!

I will do it tomorrow morning

:folded_hands::+1:

I tried just now and this is what I have

Maybe I should to try VEFlash

Possibly.

Is it connected to the VRM?

I can’t find VEFlash android app

But I get it on PC and I can connect by mk3

I never try flush and I’m confused what frimewere to put

Ve flash uses windows.
The firmware is available on victron professional- free account.

It is easier to do it over the VRM

This is what I have from VRM

When I press restart system it’s just hang up and nothing happens

Is there a service manual, relay test procedure, or diagnostic mode available for the EasySolar-II GX 24/3000/70-32? The unit shows L1 not in phase, no relay click, and no AC output while VE.Bus communication remains operational.

Maybe it’s phisycal problem with relay

That is not vrm. That is the remote console.
The firmware is 490 so it should be updated with victron connect.

Are you unplugging the GX when you are connecting the mk3 to the inverter?

The GX is internal not external

It’s always connect

I just connect mk3 to ve.bus connector
