Easysolar 2 GX does nothing at all

Bought this unit used and wired a mains lead to the input to check if it worked but accidentally reversed the live and earth.
I corrected the wiring on the mains but the Easysolar does nothing so I’m not sure if it was broken when I bought it or if I damaged it by wiring it incorrectly.
I’ve since connected a 48v battery but still nothing.
The VRM is connected to the previous owners account so that doesn’t help.
Any ideas? Can it be fixed?

Did you switch it on with the on switch?

Yep, nothing.
Even connected light bulb to ac2, nothing.

Did you not have a battery connected at the start?
That wasn’t a good idea anyway, because the Multi always needs a battery to function.
Connect the battery properly and switch on the Multi … Do the LEDs or the display switch on?

If you’re lucky, nothing will have happened as a result of the swapping, as the phase and the protective conductor would only be connected by the earthing relay … but so far no… or has your fuse tripped?

Remote bridge is plugged in ?

The Gx at least should power up.
And the mppt.
Open the unit up and and check internal fuses and connections.

Ok. I feel silly now. I was so convinced that I blew it up that after fitting the battery I didn’t switch it on! It all seems fine. It was getting late..
I shouldn’t be allowed out on my own!
Anyway, two more questions…
I’ve fitted a Pylontech US5000 battery with a type A lead. How do I know that it’s detecting the right battery? I’ve no idea what the previous owner used.
I can’t access the VRM app because it’s still in the previous owner’s name. Can I get it changed to me?
Thanks for your patience with me

Well . Fantastic news anyway. It means you are on the winning side.

This section of the manual will tell you what to look for.
It should be appearing in the device list though so it should be immediately obvious.

For this, dod you tre register it already. If you did the request should be sent to the previous owner, hopefully they are co operative.
If not your next line of support is here. see the get in touch around the bottom.
You will obviously need to prove ownership.

I would suggest updating firmware on all parts as well, once you have full access unless you already have an mk3 to usb adapter.
