Dynamic Reactive Power (Q) control in ESS Mode 3 via Modbus

Hi everyone,

I am planning a setup with a MultiPlus-II in ESS Mode 3. My goal is to dynamically adjust the reactive power (Q) via Modbus.

In the register list, I found Address 216: “Grid-following (P-Q) reactive power setpoint Q”. It seems like this should allow for direct control of reactive power, but I would like to confirm a few details:

  1. Has anyone successfully used this register for dynamic, real-time adjustments?

  2. Are there specific requirements (e.g., Grid Code settings) to make the inverter responsive to this setpoint?
