Dynamic ESS now supports PVPC prices for different regions of Spain for customers of Red Eléctrica.
To try it out, simply select ‘Spain’ as your country and ‘Red Eléctrica’ as your provider. Select where in Spain you reside in the ‘Bidding zone’ dropdown.
Your price formula will now take Red Eléctrica’s base price as ‘P’. Add or subtract any taxes and or costs related to your sell or buy energy contract.

The problem isn’t limited to the Spanish supplier, Red Electrica. Depending on the country selection made previously, sometimes none of the Spanish suppliers appear.
Once a Spanish supplier is selected for energy purchases, if dynamic prices are also selected for energy sales, the graph doesn’t display the sales prices (it shows the same sales and purchase prices).
It seems that there is a problem obtaining prices from a supplier that affects the ability to select suppliers or the correct display of dynamic purchase and sale prices.

When I select “Red Electrica” as the buy prices supplier:
the graph shows these buy prices:
which is the PVPC rate, which can be viewed on the esios website (green line)
So, the Red Electrica buy prices shown by Victron DESS are the PVPC rate buy prices, without a formula.
But when I active the sell prices (with same configuration as buy prices), DESS does not show the same sell prices as the blue line of my last capture , why?,a formula would not be needed since the sell prices are shown on ESIOS page (like the buy prices)

Hi Swapper, it’s been a while since this post.
I just wanted to ask whether you managed to set the OMIE selling prices in ESS Dynamic. I’m having the same problem, and the only solution I can see is to manually enter the PVPC - OMIE difference using a small formula every day, since the differences vary so much.

I’ve just set up a Victron system in Spain. When trying to configure the DESS pricing, I could only find in Spain the “P” related to PVPC prices. But I didn’t manage to find the spot market pricing (OMIE). Is it available for Spain?
Searching, I found that, in the past, the spot market pricing was available. But it seems it was replaced by the PVPC. Could be possible to have again available also the spot market (OMIE) as reference? It can be obtained easily from the esios API.

Many people have the PVPC pricing, but also many people have the price indexed to spot marked (OMIE). Ideally both should be available.
