Hello,

Could someone clarify what are the differences between:

  • simple ESS
  • Dynamic ESS in green mode with the option to prevent injecting from the battery activated

I’m trying to understand if Dynamic ESS has an added value compared to simple ESS in France electricity market.

The key difference is the behavior of the DESS in connection with changing electricity prices. In ESS mode, the system collects excess electricity and uses it from the time of a PV undercoverage until the storage is empty. In DESS mode, the system distributes the electricity to the most expensive times. There are other differences, but this should be the most important in answer to your question.
