Divert current around battery protect

Novice here,
I am in the process of fitting a Victron smart battery protect to my campervan leisure battery. The problem I have is that there is only one wire to the positive terminal of the battery. This wire must therefore take the load from the battery to the 12v circuit and also the charge to the battery. I understand that the battery protect can only handle current in one direction. Is there something else I need to divert the current when the battery is charging so that it doesn’t go through the battery protect?

You need to modify your wiring so you have 2 connections to the battery, one that the loads are connected to through the battery protect and another separate wire for your chargers.
