DESS without internet connection

I hopped DESS would function without an internet connection.
I configured it using VRM saved the config.
Purpose:
Solar system is disconnected from mains power only 3 times per year.
So outside of these moments the mains is connected and currently victron just keeps the batteries at 100% degrading the health significantly.

I know DESS isn’t exactly fit for this, but ESS doesnt work since it doesnt cycle charge and discharge the batteries.

Node-Red can do the job

I always thought node red required extra hardware. But after some more research it can run natively on the cerbo.
That makes the cerbo even more usefull.
