DESS Target SOC intermittently drops to 0%

I have an issue with a MP2 50000 which shows an issue where the Cerbo Target SoC randomly drops to zero causing the ESS to (fully) discharge at incorrect times (no relationship with schedule)

Is this a bug? Or what could cause this? I have a suspicion it might be caused by intermittent connection issues.

In DESS Target SoC drops to zero (0) when the strategy for the current timeslot is “self consumption”. Probably same here.

Nope not the case

I’m not so sure you are looking at the right parameter there. I was referring to the DESS ‘strategy for current timeslot’, not the ESS battery life state. There are many ‘layers’ to untangle within the ESS/DESS control system architecture. I’d advise to activate Node-RED, then I can send you parts of my monitoring flows that provide better direct insights of what’s going on under the hood then those VRM advanced graphs. If you search on my name you’ll find plenty of examples what I’ve been trying to develop over the past year, not all up to date mind you but a good starting point anyway. Once you got Node-RED up and running let me know, and I’ll export a section specifically for monitor the scheduling subsystem.

That said, I’m pretty convinced that what you are seeing is working as intended. A little confusing, but intended nevertheless
