DESS taking power from battery instead of grid

Can’t find a similar query through a search…

The Energy forecast is showing grid consumption - this seems to match with the super-plunge pricing curve (£-0.02 currently).

But when I turn on the kettle, it always comes out of the battery rather than taking it from the grid. Here the red is basically the Grid Setpoint, blue is the kettle boiling:

DESS Target SoC is showing 100%, battery is at 100%.

Any thoughts on this? It did it again this morning, although I don’t have a screenshot of the DESS Energy tab forecast, it was showing a bar of “Grid to Consumption” around when the prices were 0 or -ve. But ended up using all battery.
