In the DESS Planning Overview there is a vertical marker for the current hour (“Now”). The bars before this marker show the realised values, while the bars after it show the predicted plan. However, the bar for the current hour appears to behave differently. Instead of representing the full planned value for that hour, the bar gradually decreases as the hour progresses. This suggests that it is displaying the remaining predicted energy for the rest of the hour rather than the total planned energy for the entire hour.
The attached charts illustrates the behaviour where the “Now” bar drops during the hour.
Likely a visual artefact from 15 minute scheduling under the hood while using an hourly graph display for VRM. The issue being that the VRM graph isn’t able to combine the achieved quarterly values with the remaining scheduled quarter-hourly values mid-hour and as compromise is displaying accumulated achieved values only.
The graph should be correct when the hour has passed, may need to update the page as well. (Day select forward -aft will do)
