DESS issue after upgrade and adding EV charger

Thanks, there is something weird going on. We’ve used 4kwh from batteries and 36kwh from the grid today. The batteries are at 80% soc.

Since updating to 3.70, every time I look at the system the batteries are idle.

This might also be related to adding an EV to the system, 3.70 was installed at the same time. Since then it’s forecasting ev charging for every hour on top of our consumption forecast, even though the car isn’t plugged in.

The releases for venus do not affect the DESS logic, that is external to the core OS which only provides the hooks it needs to work. With the exception of the peak shaving issue introduced, there is nothing in most venus updates that will make DESS scheduling and control better or worse. Applying beta updates in the hope it improves efficiency will only expose you to the bugs and “features” that come with beta testing.
DESS queries are better asked in the beta VRM area.
Specific changes that are relevant will be documented in the release notes.

The only beta feature “installed” is the EV integration, venus is running the 3.70 release.

To add, if i look at the battery soc over the last week, Friday, when 3.70 was installed and EV linked, the discharge pattern is different since then. I have unlinked the EV, lets see what it looks like tomorrow.
