I would like to share my very possitive experience with current version of beta VRM and DESS. I hadn´t chance to use Victron DESS for maybe 1 year due missing variable grid fees. I used other third party DESS system during that time.
Now after last change and implementation of time variable grid fees I start to use Victron DESS again. My feeling after few days of usage is great. Everything with variable grid fees works well and all the system works very fine. The prediction is very good, behaviour and planning perfect. Not any more changing of strategy back and forth.
The progress of DESS during last year is huge. Thank to complete Victron team! 
I am missing only one important function in Victron DESS - there is no way how to directly from VRM to automaticly control big energy consumers - EG heating systems and EV chargers.
Automatic control of EV charger and heating systems/relays by DESS can be great feature. Always better to control that than try to forecast.
Are there any plans to have some DESS module for that from Victron?
eg. to:
- start EV charger/Cerbo relay in case of negative (low) purchase price
- start EV charger/Cerbo relay during XX lowest time slots per day (or defined time frame - eg.6am to 5:59am)
- start EV charger/Cerbo relay if SOC > YY and/or sales price > ZZ
- Plan and switch EV charger to charge XX kWh per day
- Forecast based on temperature how much I need to heat the house and plan it within DESS and switch heating pump during PV excess and low price slots
Or nothing planned in this direction? Should we focus in other automatization/node red possibilities?
