Hi, i am new on victron community but i like to automate a lot. I want to use a gx device to control about 8 relays remotely and see that they are activated on vrm portal.
This is a new piece of kit, the GX-150 IO extender: GX IO-Extender 150 | Victron Energy
So new, I haven’t had hands-on one yet. As for relay appearing in VRM, I’ll stick my neck out and say YES! … Maybe.
In total you’d still only have 4 relays though… Although you could use the IO’s to switch other relays then get 12 relays in total:
2 Cerbo
2 GX150
8 x IO controlled relays
Are you using any home automation software? Like Home Assistant?
Another new piece of kit, not as many options as the GX-150 but fully Victron compatible.
Does each relay / device controls show in the Victron VRM / WebUI for control out of the box? Do you have a screenshot of how it shows up?
Each relay (x4) is 5A cont. 12v/24v
It’s the price point for 4 relays that made me look twice…£237 inc VAT.
Although I like the fact it is a single unit, more or less plug and play.
For Info:
4 x Shelly 1 Gen3 (4 relays) … £51.
10A@30vDC, 16A@230vAC, 12/24/240v relay.
Wifi 2.4Ghz connection controlled via Physical switch, Shelly App, Embedded WebUI (LAN control), MQTT (can integrate with CerboGX, Shelly scripting required), API, Webhooks. No native Victron VRM / WebUI integration.
They do auto-discovery, so technically could be auto-discovered by CerboGX and displayed on VRM/WebUI.
