Controller 'shuts off' at full battery, then floats at <100%?

I made a custom graph in VRM that shows PV Power, SOC and Batt Voltage. What I see makes me wonder if my system is set up correctly.

When batteries hit 14.2V (100% SOC shown), the MPPT goes into Absorption mode for a bit, then shuts off until the batteries discharge to 13.5V.

At 13.5V, the MPPT comes on in Float mode and keeps the battery at 13.5V, (98.8% SOC) until the PV power drops at the end of the day.

I feel like I’m being picky, but there’s something that makes me want to see 100% batteries as the sun starts going down, and the sudden cut-out of the MPPT between Absorption and Float seems strange to me.

Is there anything I should adjust in my setup, or just call it normal? Thanks!

Its normal, but i set my float level to 14v, so keep my 100%.

People tell me the batteries don’t like it, i asked them and they kept quiet.

Now working into the fifth year.
