Combining a single 450Wp panel with the MPPT 100/30

Hi, I’ve tried looking for an answer, but couldn’t find it. At the moment I have a SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 installed and looking for a solar panel upgrade. Locally, I only seem to be able to buy 440 to 450Wp panels, whilst I was aiming for a 400Wp panel. Would a single 450Wp panel work OK with my 100/30? See the attached data sheet of the panel. From what I’ve gathered it should be OK, as the voltage and amperage are within limits. In max performance it will max out, but that shouldn’t be an issue I think. Can someone confirm this for me? Thanks in advance!

That is o.k. You can use a single module or two modules in serie. That ist better if there are shadows. 2 of such series in parallel ist the maximum. Is your Battery a 12V or 24V?

It’s fine. The maximum panel voltage is <<100V and the short circuit current is <35A, so no issues in combination with the MPPT

Thanks for the answer. My battery is 12V. A single panel would fit perfectly on the roof of my Defender, so that would be preferable.
