Intelilite 4 amf on newest firmware 1.7
Cm3 ethernet on newest firmware 1.3
Gx device tried on newest beta and offical

Modbus registry updated

Currenly using gx relay with single wire to start generator.

Any help would be appretiated

Hi,

Have you followed the guidelines in Connecting supported non-Victron products section of the manual? Is the generator set to AUTO? I got that error when it was set to MAN.

Hello thanksngor replying … yes generator control is set to auto and is currently set up to be activated by colour control relay and works fine whenusing the relay but asoon as i enable modbus tcp it instantly gives the error code above . Regarldes of what state the comap controller is in.

And comap modbus registers changed as per the intructions above

Can you share the config file for your generator? Open InteliConfig and on the top left click on Save then Save Archive As.

I’m not sure if there are any sensitive information on the file, if you want you PM it to me.

Also, you can try this file Temporary Reference for GX Manual since it contains a Google Drive for a Register map that can be imported directly, just in case some is wrong with your manually assigend registers. Not sure why it was not ported over to the final documentation.

I have managed to connect my generator with that register map with only two minor issues mentioned here.

Yea i will send the archive file over tomorow if that ok as im just about to start nightshift …
I used the import function from that google drive for the registers… gx finds the device correctly but instantly throws that error code before disconnecting and then reconnecting . But thank you for your assitsnce in the matter .

Fixed mate your a star…

I wiped all modbus registers from controller and re uploaded as per the link above although everything looked the same as i had previously done. Something must jave been different as its now fully working via modbus… once again thankyou very much .lewis
