I have just replaced my gel battery bank with 4 x LiFePO4 12v100Ah batteries.
Can I still use my Centaur 12/50 battery charger with this type of batteries?
Do I need to change the setting on the charger?
I have read through the Centaur charger datasheet and manual and based on that I can not recommended it. You could choose the Gel settings which would be the correct voltages for most lithium batteries. However, the Centaur includes temperature compensation which is a bad idea for lithium batteries. The other problem is that it has a fixed 4 hour absorption period which is another bad idea for lithium batteries, they need typically less than 30 minutes, often as low as 10 minutes. Finally, your batteries BMS would need low temperature shut down as the Centaur does not this necessary safety cut out for lithium batteries.
