is it possible to connect the PV Strings first to a Multi RS Solar before connecting the battery to avoid the high current to charge the capacitors?
Better avoid what you’re suggesting…
In order to charge the capacitors, the Multi RS must start the battery charging process.
If it doesn’t detect a battery, it doesn’t start the charger.
But even if it does, better connect it to AC, rather than PV…
Alternatively, connect the battery initially through an old 220V incandescent bulb.
Put the bulb in series with the battery and connect the ensemble to the Multi RS’s battery terminals for precharging the capacitors.
The bulb will act like a current limiting device.
Then disconnect the bulb and connect the battery directly.
