I resently installed two silicone heat pads in our battery box for the cold weather. Using victron battery temperature sensor through the cerbos relay. Temperature set to come on at 10 degrees and off at 12 degrees. All worked great, and looking at the advance tab the graph was constant and gradual. This morning while checking things out I hear what sounds like the cerbos relay kicking on and off, and on further investigation through the advance tab the graph is different than before, where the temperature seems to level off then rise again. Would the cerbos relay be failing? Is there a way to possibly confirm what might be the issue. Its a 12v system and two 7.5w heat pads.
Which cerbo relay did you use? Relay 2 is intended for this purpose.
In Cerbo GX hardware there are two relays. Currently, Relay 1 can be used for programming as an alarm relay, generator start/stop, tank pump, temperature controlled relay or manual operation. Relay 2 is available for programming as a temperature controlled relay or manual operation in the Relay menu of the GX (requires firmware 2.80 or higher).
