Cerbo GX internet question

I have a few questions about the cerbo-GX. i understand that i cant change the SSID of the broadcasted Wi-Fi, witch is annoying but nothing i can do about it. Does the Cerbo-GX when connected to a WIFI network pass that internet connection out of its Ethernet network port. essentially if i use a old tablet with a hotspot then use the Cerbo-GX to connect to that broadcasted Wi-Fi can i then use a 12v router connected to the ethernet port of the Cerbo to then broadcast a custom SSID and password WIFI network.
the Manuel states that you can also do USB tethering vs connecting to a Wi-Fi hotspot: Share a mobile phone’s internet connection via USB. but does not elaborate farther does anybody have experience with this.

The end goal is that some of my smart home devices that i want to take camping have a difficult or tedious process to change their preferred Wi-Fi network, but if i make my travel Wi-Fi network the same SSID and password as my home network they cant tell the difference and work perfectly. also keep my Cebo connected to VRM so i can monitor SOC when running my AC to keep my pets comfortable during necessary but not necessarily pet friendly errands.

Hi it will not, you can connect the ethernet port of a router with wifi to the ethernet port of the cerbo and make your own local wifi accesspoint (with your own ssid) on the router to acces the cerbo
