Cerbo GX and SmartNetworking Bridge

Hi, I have Epoch Essential batteries without CAN-bus. For this reason, I cannot use DVCC. I also have 9 MPPT controllers connected to the Cerbo with USB (VE.Direct to USB adapters). I need to use SmartNetworking to share the SmartShunt’s voltage and current info with the MPPT chargers. My Cerbo has GUI-V2, and cannot find any way to enable the SmartNetworking bridge function that should be under Settings>Services (which doesn’t exist in GUI-V2). Anyone know a good method?

You can always use DVCC, that function is not Canbus-BMS-Exclusive. It doesnt always make sense though.

A GX device can not be part of a VE.Smart network, and theres no such thing as a SmartNetworking bridge with Victron, at least to my knowledge.

In order to transmit the Shunt data to the MPPTs, you either have to setup a VE.Smart network containing the SmartShunt as well as all MPPTs. But since the MPPTs are also connected over VE.Direct, whatever the GX sends will take precedence over the VE.Smart data.

Or you also have to connect the SmartShunt over VE.Direct to the Cerbo and then using DVCC to control the MPPTs.

I appreciate your concise, informed reply. Looks like I’ll try enabling dvcc.
