CERBO GX Analogue inputs not showing up

Hi, I have just updated my Cerbo GX to v3.50-24, (Build Date 20240920090728), and in doing so, the Analogue inputs in the IO have disappeared from the settings. So too has Bluetooth, it now only shows up Digital inputs as an option. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. I have tried on both Official release and Beta release. This means I have lost ability to set up temp sensors, Water tank etc.

Side note - If I plug in a Victron Tank 140, they all come up as normal and function (however that does not solve the issue or or my need.
If I unplug the Tank 140 - the Analogue inputs still show as 4 blank spaces but nothing else (ie not text - just 4 links and 4 (slide on/off) that are blanked out.

Thanks in advance.

@awinservices
When posting about beta, you should post in the beta category. Please follow the guidelines of a beta tester.
I have moved the post.
This is what the current beta is working to introduce or issues being worked on. Be aware it is a long read.

This is not about Beta, please read the post carefully. Its about Official release.

Also I have tried rolling back to version 3.42 - no difference and still using official release

Hi @awinservices , thanks for the report and welcome to Community.

Is it OK that someone from our team logs in to your GX to look into this?

For doing so the Remote Support option needs to be enabled, which I already checked and is enabled.

Hi @awinservices,

I can reproduce the issue. I noticed that the analog inputs are not present in the settings menu only on the first boot after an update. I updated from 3.50~24 to 3.42 and back to 3.50~24 and saw this happen on every first boot after the update.

After rebooting once, the analog inputs are back in the menu, can you confirm this?

Rein

Thanks for the feedback.

I have gone through this a number of times and the results are not always consistent.

I went from 3.42 and reloaded 3.50_24 and this time Digital and Bluetooth show up (no Analogue)

Also when going back to 3.42 each time No Analogue inputs show up.

I then rebooted (again) and only get Digital and Bluetooth sensors as available. So I am not seeing the Analogue inputs.

(see screenshots).

Also please note – I have done this via remote console AND also tried via direct accessing the Cerbo GX touch screen to see fi there was any different outcome.

At this stage I am not show what my options are, or how long a bug fix will take. Do I need to roll back further in order to get the Analogue inputs back?

Hi @awinservices, thanks for testing.

Would it be ok if I logged in remotely to investigate?
Regards, Rein.

Yes that’s fine

Do you want to pm to me for this?

Hi @awinservices,

It seems you Cerbo is most likely broken. Please contact your dealer for an RMA and have it returned to us for investigation.

Apologies. Wording in the post is a bit misleading since the beta is the only version you actually mention specifically. Then you mention roll back like that was a trouble shooting step not where the problem started.

Glad you got assistance anyway.

Cerbo GX had been running without issue using v3.42. I was doing firmware upgrades for all devices in the system (MPPTs etc). Cerbo was upgraded to 3.50_24 and that’s where the issue appeared of the analogue inputs disappearing (could not not see Temp relay etc). Also could not see or add water tanks via resistive input on the Cerbo GX.

The only way to see water tanks appear is via Tank140, however still cant see Temp sensors stuff.
So I tried to roll back to v3.42, however this has not fixed the issue. Seems something in the firmware upgrade has made an adjustment that cant be undone.

Did you log in and look?

I can’t log in to look. Am just a normal/ volunteer user on the forum.
Often roll back from beta requires a factory reset, since they are testing new and different systems in the code. So i am not surprised.
Roll back from there is not always straightforward.
It seems though the conclusion is there is a physical problem?

Can you pls contact me privately regarding, as this is not really a simple option to rip out and send back leaving me with out any control for an unspecified amount of time.
