Can you looking at my wiring ...Which design is correct?

This is how I have wired up 2 x 100 ah batteries, inside a sealed battery box to achieve 12 volts 200amp
I just not sure if this is correct

Or this other option is preferred,

IE
Battery 2 + to Battery 1 +
Battery 1 - to Battery 2 -
Battery 1 + to busbar
Battery 2 - to shunt

would love some feed back

Your first drawing is OK. The only comment is why not connect the ac charger to the bus bar. It has 2 outputs but as the batteries are in parallel they do not need the separate feeds. The wire from busbar to battery needs to be large enough.

Fair point…

Something like this

@pwfarnell
Thoughts on
Battery 2 + to Battery 1 +
Battery 1 - to Battery 2 -
Battery 1 + to busbar
Battery 2 - to shunt

or
Battery 1 + to Battery box +
Battery 2 + to battery box +
Battery 1 - to battery box -
Battery 2 - to battery box 1

is still okay for obtaining 200ah evenly over both batteries

What about fuses and on/off switch?

On your revised drawing as long as the 4 battery wires are the same length charging will be uniform

Fused to the eyeballs with circuit brakers and battery on/off switch

Thank you …yet again especially for the link
Greatly appreciated
Just a DC DC and 2000w inverter to go
