Can I plug a BMV-712 Smart display into a SmartShunt with a VE.Direct cable?

Just looking for a lightweight and cheap screen to add to my SmartShunt. Would rather not have to use two shunts in series. From the documentation it looks like its not designed to work. But it should! or by Bluetooth would be acceptable as well.

No, that’s not possible.

Editing to clarify: It’s not possible because that’s not how VE.Direct comms work. VE.Direct from the SmartShunt is comms-out. VE.Direct on the BMV-712 display head is comms-out. Two comms-out plugged into each other won’t accomplish anything.
