CAN Bus gateway Victron Multiplus II GX to DALY

I am planning to use a Multiplus 5000 II GX single phase hybrid inverter with 48 V 16 S Lifepo4 battery pack. The battery pack will have a Daly BMS. Now which communication module / canbus gateway do I need?
Another doubt: I need to integrate this inverter to a HomeAssistant cada system. There is an integration with the Cerbo 200 GX available. But I want to use the GX module in the Inverter instead. Does anybody know if there is a difference between the external GX module and the integrated one? Did anybody already integrate a Multiplus II GX to HomeAssistant ?

I use this driver on a Cerbo-GX to communicate with a Daly over RS485.

I definitely wouldn’t use a Daly on a new build though. The balance current is terrible.

I’ve used JK-BMS on a couple lately and they work great with the 2A balance current and talk to Venus no problem using the same driver above.

Thanks Paul,

Did I understand that right: The difference between the Daly and the JK BMS is mainly the balancing current? So the JK is BMS plus balancer together in one device?
Another doubt: In order to keep track of the SOC more exactly, would it be helpful also to use a Smart Shunt?

Yes, the JK BMS I have will do 2A active balancing. This means it can pull energy out of one cell and put it in another as it charges.

The Daly has 250mA of passive balancing and isn’t enough for big cells. You’re basically just heating up resistors connected to high voltage cell as the whole pack charges. Not great!
