CAN-bus BlueSolar Charger MPPT 150/70, external control beyond Cerbo firmware V2.84

Having 3-phase Quattro (ver 552), all with up-to-date ESS-assistant.

Both a older Venus GX or (not together) Cerbo GX running on firmware v2.84 will let two older CAN-bus connected
CAN-bus BlueSolar Charger MPPT 150/70 (tall, vertical, alu housing, firmware 2.05)
work in HUB-1 (in charger display) and in Cerbo GX the charger state shows ‘External control’.

As soon as higher firmware is installed on Cerbo GX, f.ex. latest v3.54,
the MPPT charger is no longer controled externally, ie MPPT charger follows it’s internal charge and the Quattros follow their own charge-curve.

Anything to fix this? Work around? Seetings?.. so MPPT charger is externally controlled with new Cerbo GX firmware.

Just to be clear, are you connecting two GX devices together?

@nickdb, just edited my post to clarify.
It’s only one at a time, currently only the Cerbo GX is connected.

These are depreciated and are not compatible with ESS at all that is actually the problem. Not compatible with DVCC either
They follow their own internal programming.

Unfortunately no. They are too outdated.

One ‘trick’ to work them is to set them 0.1 or 0.2v higher in abs to work them or at least that is what i have read users have been doing.

Thanks for your reply.
However, somehow they seem to be compatible (enough) with ESS until Venus/Cerbo GX running on firmware v2.84.
Would just be a matter of ensuring backward compatibility on newer firmware.
Any chance to get a firmware release fixing this?

(of-topic: The only advantage of newer firmware currently for me is that MQTT (keep alive) works.)

Zero. They are depreciated. And it is not just a matter of hardware.
