I just tried manually entering the boat AP details (AP name, password) since I’m away from the boat (new tablet as an Xmas present), but can’t enter the name – as soon as I enter the first character (“r” in my case) it takes this as the complete AP name and moves on to password entry.
(Ulefone Armor Pad Pro tablet, software installed fine a couple of days ago)
Nope – as soon as I hit the “settings” symbol it goes back to the (empty) SSID entry box… 
i´d say it won´t work like that - you have to be on the boat / in the range of the AP
According to the manual:
After scanning the QR code, your Android device should display a list of nearby WiFi networks.
Choose the WiFi network you want to connect to.
Enter the required password to complete the connection process.
Do you see your home metwork?
I know that’s how it should work when I’m on the boat, but there’s also the option to manually add AP details which should work but doesn’t…
(Yes I’m connected OK to my home network, but obviously with no Cerbo found)
