Hi team,
We’ve had a great bit of weather here, so my system has been ‘self consuming’ for the past week or so.
I’ve noticed the DESS SOC forecast shows some weird behavior when looking out 2 days.
See below - the slope of the SOC forecast accelerates early the ‘next day’ even though the underlying consumption is similar as the prior hours.
This seems to regularly occur when looking at the ‘next day’ forecast, and it seems the system slowly corrects itself as the next day gets closer.
The last hour of PV is forecasted at 20:00, and the slope for 21:00, 22:00, and 23:00 look similar to 20:00. Then starting at 00:00 the slope looks like it meaningfully increases.
This is in Green mode.
Just flagging. Maybe for @Barbara
EDIT: I forgot I posted about this very topic a year ago: 00:00 DESS Battery Forecast Inaccurate
I marked it as solved, given this corrects itself as we get closer to 00:00, but given its a repeating ‘issue’ I think it’s worth leaving this new topic open.
