There are basically two options when running enphase micro inverters on mp2 AC out.
-
build an enphase system consisting of micro inverters, envoy s gateway, comsumer and producer CTs and add the mp2 inverter/chargers for Energy Storage (enphase is „master“, victron just a battery charger) (see enphase document: link
-
Build an VE ESS with mp2, GX device, Energy Meters and add just the enphase micro inverters to deliver the AC power. (VE ESS is system Master, enphase just inverters reacting on the ac grid they see)
But, I am not entirely sure about all details. Maybe someone has explicit design experiences:
- can you operate enphase micro inverters completely independent from envoy gateway? The micro inverters communicate by power line communication. No envoy gateway, no access to the micro inverters. Can these operate under these conditions?
- If not, I.e. the micro inverters always need an envoy gateway, does the envoy gateway require the producer/consumption CTs?
- what system control is „better“ - the enphase via envoy and enlight or the VE GX plus remote portal?
