I would like to know if there is an appropriate fuse that is robust enough for DC 24V and able to break a high DC load without melting everything ! ( I was thinking of sand filled fuses as they are used in multimeters and industrial sites.
I am mostly afraid of the LIFEPO4 high ability to deliver current in case of a short-circuit and burning my house to the ground.
So I want to get the best protection I can. I will move away from automotive fuses because they seem to be somewhat unreliable and melting the fuse and holder together so it was a sad experience for me.
Same question here @Helios-Harvester. However I have a 12V 280Ah LiTime battery, not a 24V one, but I am struggling with the same thing in my mind. I have no clue how to connect the most safest way my LifePo4 battery to my Victron Lynx Distributor DC which uses mega fuses.
