Battery with rather low voltage discharge with Victron

Hello everyone,

This is I believe a very simple matter. I want to double check if my assumption is correct or I’m missing something.

I’m considering buying 3 battery modules of BSLBatt Li-Pro 1536. These have a rather low discharge voltage of 47v. In this document, Victron suggests a cut off voltage of 48v, which obviously wouldn’t work in my case: Victron & BSLBATT Lithium batteries [Victron Energy]

I assume this is a matter of lowering the cut off voltage to the figure that BSL recommends?

I plan to pair this with a quattro 10k.

I’m aware that the BMS that BSL uses has some issues but that’s not my concern. I have other BSL models, also on a quattro 10k, performing fine.

I have found this to be normal across their 51.2v range.

Unless they have provided a document to say something different follow the page.

The ess dynamic cut offs are at 47. These overide the other set at 48v anyway.

You will notice BSL also prefer not to use a low soc cut off prefer using the low voltage cut off.

And their bms overrides all settings anyway.

Noted. Thanks @lxonline
