Have a battery Protect on a bus.
Unit located in roof with AC equipment. This has a 16mm cable from battery direct.
Incoming supply runs to a 40amp fuse, then steps down to 20amp for our fuse.
From this 20amp it has a 20cm lead on the battery Protect, from here it feeds a 4G router and a 12v/48v converter for a Starlink.
There is a dedicated negative from the battery to roof, where we have bonded a 20cm back to the battery Protect and just have a simple lug to connect all negatives together.
The protect switches from activated to attempting to activate. It constantly does this.
It randomly does switch on, but not reliable.
Low voltage disconnect set at 12.2 and switch on at 12.6
Running the vehicle does not help and I have the same when it is off. Running voltage is 14.6
I do not get any errors, the only thing I do notice is where there is normally a number, there is a small . In one corner, sometimes a number is displayed.
I have 2 units on 2 buses doing exact same, brand new, fresh install.
What have I done wrong…
Little side note. I have created this equipment setup in my truck for around 6 weeks and had no issues. The only difference being that the battery Protect was around 30cm from the battery.
