Today, I noticed that my batteries went up from 51% to 96% in one hour. This is impossible, as I have a capacity of 25 KVA and my solar system is max 3.2 KVA, so I can charge max 13% per hour. I am currently producing 1,300W (16:30 in Portugal) and using 3,300W so I can see that the charge of the batteries is slightly decreasing, as expected.
What happened and how to prevent this in the future?
Do you have a Victron shunt measuring the State of Charge (SoC)?
Or are you relying on the battery BMS’s notoriously inaccurate measurement of SoC?
If the latter, it is important to fully charge your batteries to 100% routinely to keep the estimate accurate. Perhaps weekly, or every few days. It depends on the battery.
I am sorry but I don’t know what the “Victron shunt” and “battery BMS’s” are. I rely on the console application on my computer to display the status of my system.
What this refers to is where the battery state of charge is measured. I have installed a shunt, but I don’t use it. In my case, the value comes from the battery’s BMS via the CAN bus. These two values are constantly out of sync.
After a night of regular discharge of about 1% per hour, which is normal, the day started normally. The charge now is 77% and it seems to behave normally. I will continue the monitoring over the next few days.

Depending on the BMS, small currents aren’t detected, but they are with the shunt.

Or could depend on the accuracy of the external battery monitor. The Lynx Shunt, for example, is just as bad or worse than the internal BMS on most cheap batteries. This is a product that should have been updated by Victron years ago to address this issue and several others.

You are not providing any specific information for those who are trying to help you.
No, your equipment was installed by a non-Victron employee, most likely a private installer. If your installer can’t help you with your questions, find a better installer who can. We are volunteers on this forum and can only help people who can at least provide some basic information about your system. Since you don’t have that information, you will be better served by working with a knowledgeable person who can access your system (remotely or in person) to determine what you have, how it’s configured, and what the resolution will be. Expect to pay for their expertise.

You have an Ekrano controlling a three-phase system of MultiPlus II 48/5000/70 units, powered by a Voltsmile battery system and connected via two Lynx Distributor blocks.
You should have wiring diagrams or documentation somewhere, as well as online access to the VRM (Victron Remote Management).
Is the battery rack connected to the Ekrano?? Photos of the connection side??

The Ekrano is the component with the integrated display in the control cabinet door. By “connected”, I meant the data cable to the BMS — obviously, I realise that the battery is connected to the Ekrano on the power side.
What cable is coming out from behind the distributor block on the left?? Is that the communication cable to the Ekrano??
Could you open the control cabinet and take a photo of the inside so that all the cable routing can be traced (the same applies to the rest of the system)??

Thank you. That does help. I’m not familiar with that brand of battery and if they use their own in-house designed BMS or a common off-the-shelf BMS. Nothing in their documentation or on their website says what they used inside. Their marketing does say it’s a “military-grade BMS”, whatever that is supposed to mean If anyone knows which BMS they use then please let us know.
Based on your original question and problem description, I’m going to guess they are using a generic BMS and those have notoriously poor BMS’s as @ricardocello alluded to. As he said, you need to make sure you get those batteries fully charged to “100%” early enough in the day to allow the cells to fully absorb and balance. You should do this once or twice a month.
It’s hard to tell from the pictures, but it does appear you have ESS configured on your system. Can you tell us if you have any schedules configured in the “Scheduled charge levels” of the ESS settings on your Ekrano? See the image below for an example.

As @ricardocello suggested, it may be that my BMS didn’t accurately measure the charge of the batteries and that the high soler activity on the day of the event actually filled the batteries and acted as a “Scheduled charge level”. I will think about scheduling such monthly activity.
@Karl-Heinz and Netrange (sorry, I am limited to two @ users…) : thank you for the suggestion to open the file cabinet or provide closer photos but as you have noticed from all my messages, I am a newbie and I don’t want to open a cabinet which deals with electricity and looks well closed for good reasons, nor mess up with those big cables.
