Battery level jumps to 100% before fully charged

I’ve got a multiplus-ii 12v 120/split with a smart shunt and two battleborn 12v 100AH LiPO4 batteries. I’ve noticed that my batteries appear to correctly reflect usage, but when charging, after a little while, the charge state jumps to 100% . It doesn’t really matter if I’m using the multiplus-ii or the mppt 150/70 rev2 (I’ve got 800W solar --nothing large). I’ll still see the batteries taking a charge until the current eventually levels out.

What would cause this? I’ve seen the batteries do a really good job of providing the expected draw down to about 20%, but even then, I’ll watch the system charge normally for anywhere from 10-30% before jumping up and showing 100% charged.

My multiplus-ii is configured for the lipo4 charge profile.

Any tips to troubleshooting this and guidance as to what the DC threshold levels should be for the various devices?

Thanks in advance!

Most likely the settings are wrong.

Thank you for the pointer to the article. Yes, I figured my settings were wrong – but finding out which ones has been something I’ve been trying to figure out for the past two months. I’ve gone through repeated iterations of battery settings. I had not seen this article, however. It’s very helpful.

While I understand it can be frustrating to see similar topics appear, it’s equally frustrating to see meaningless made up numbers on how many times this question has been asked and the direction to use the search function. I searched for over an hour without finding the topic. It neither appeared in my searches nor in the suggested items when creating my topic. I’m not sure why it didn’t, but that’s the fact.
