Assistance figuring out my potential setup

Hi everyone,

I would like some advice for my particular case. As a newcomer to the Victron ecosystem (and PV in general) I am a bit lost on what to choose.

So, here it comes the landscape

I am based in Italy, monofase residential, not allow to inject more than 5Kw to the grid (but I would like to maximise the battery storage)

Actual installation:

-3 strings:

–String 1: 6 Panels in series of 455W (270 Vmpp and 10.11 Ampp), South Wes orientation. 2.7kW

–String 2 and 3: 7 panels in series of 455W (315 Vpp and 10.11 Ampp), South Orientation. 3.15kW

-Inverter Solax X1 IES 6Kw, with a CT on the main panel. Actually reading it with HomeAssistant with ModbuTCP… but with problems, so I will try to change to MidbusRTU

-One Module Battery Solax T-BAT H5.8

Objective:

1-Increase the storage capabilities with a parallel installation, that would provide me flexibility in the future (More batteries and possibly more panels). I have one DiY 51.8V battery made out of 16 304Ah prismatic elements (15kW), and I would like to start from there.

3-Idealy, the less invasive installation, trying not to touch, nor modified the current installation (I know that I will need the disconnect/reconnect some lines)

My research:

I was looking at the Multiplus, but saw also the Victron Mppt chargers, but not sure if they could handle my strings… so I will go with Multiplus+15Kw. Cervo, Shunts, CT or Chint power meters I presume that will depend on the final configiuration.

And hare it come my main doubts. And how to setup the installation… I saw some examples that the Solax and the house could be connected to the critical loads output, and let the PV bean dealt with the Solax, then the Multiplus will deal with the 15Kw battery (charge and discharge towards the house)… but then: Would the Multiplus be able to inject into the grid when the batteries are full?

Other connection that I saw is to connect the Victron to the mains and let them do the charging/discharging… but this point is unclear to me how to handle the logic. Not sure is Victron and Solax can talk to each other (Solax has a Can Bus, but couldn’t find to much info on this matter).

My doubts are on how to place the shunt/CT/powe meter to understand who and how much (Solax and Victron) is consuming.

For the first option and second, I was thinking in to do some kind of monitoring with NodeRed and trying to build the logic, reading the Solax and the Victron… but not sure how complex (or possible) this would be. I am not familiar with the Cervo and Victron programming for such scenarios,

A bit of light would be more than welcome.

Thanks for your attention!
