In Austria a certificate according ÖVE R37 is required to connect an EV charger to the grid.
Is this already started , can we install Victron EVCS after 15.12.2026?
There is already a list existing but Victron is not in this list, (Keba, Fronius, Solax, SolarEdge … are listed allready)
Thanks, I know. Possibly the naming „Certificate" was not the correct. It’s a „OVE guideline" requesting a Test report" which is mandatory if we install a EV charger.
@mpvader we are not allowed to use Victron EV-chargers without this after 15dec2026
Ok, it is interesting as in the UK Victron EV charging stations don’t comply with the relevant UK standards introduced in 2022 from what I have researched and also resellers / installers should provide a declaration of conformity (not possible) with each unit as well as a full audit trail from purchasing to installation. Maybe the anticipated replacement due at some point will take these similar points into account as if my current understanding is correct, the units can only be used in a 100% off-grid scenario in the UK. It is naturally a seller / installer’s responsibility to ensure they comply with the relevant legislation. In addition, it also requires a seperate PME Fault Detection unit as most mainstream products these days.
