I’m looking for a small number of Android users to help beta test V-Monitor, a new third-party Victron monitoring app.
First, an important note: V-Monitor is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or developed by Victron Energy. It is an independent Android app designed to work with systems already connected to the Victron VRM Portal.
How it works
V-Monitor connects to your Victron VRM setup and automatically detects your installation and available system data. Once connected, it can identify the services and values available from your system and present them in the app without you needing to manually build everything from scratch.
The app is designed to make monitoring easier and more flexible on Android, with features such as:
- automatic detection of your Victron installation
- live system discovery
- custom dashboard setup
- user-created gauges and value panels
- live values and sparkline/history support where available
- a cleaner mobile-friendly way to view your system data
Customisation
One of the main goals of V-Monitor is to let users customise what they actually want to see. You can build your own dashboard from detected system values, add gauges or value panels, and tailor the layout to suit your setup and preferences.
So instead of being locked into one fixed screen, the app is intended to adapt to different installations and different user priorities.
Who I’m looking for
I’m after:
- Android users only
- people who already have a Victron system connected to the VRM Portal
- users willing to try the app and provide practical feedback on setup, usability, layout, live data, and bugs
Beta access
The beta will be distributed through Google Play. To add you to the beta, I need your Play Store email address.
Privacy and security
- I do not need or collect personal information beyond the Play Store email used to grant beta access
- your email is only used to add you to the test program
- the app is delivered through Google Play beta testing
- the build is signed and protected through the normal Google Play security and verification process
If you’d like to help test, send me your Google Play email address and I’ll add you to the beta list.
